All-weather mats are a daily-driver essential—but LHD vs RHD and cargo liners are easy to get wrong. This guide covers what we ask shoppers to confirm.
Why does LHD vs RHD matter for floor mats?
Left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) cars mirror the driver footwell, pedal cluster clearance, and sometimes heel-pad cutouts. A mat cut for LHD will not seat correctly in an RHD cabin. If product options list drive side, choose the one that matches your market. If a listing does not offer RHD, assume it is intended for the configuration stated on that page—or contact us before ordering.
What about frunk and trunk liners?
Frunk (front trunk) and rear trunk/cargo liners are separate from cabin floor mats. Model Y cargo shapes differ from Model 3. Check whether a listing is cabin mats only, trunk liner, frunk liner, or a set. Cabin mats we carry: All Weather Floor Mats for Tesla Model 3/Y.
How do I install cabin floor mats cleanly?
- Remove factory mats and vacuum the carpet.
- Align heel pads and seat-rail cutouts before locking clips (if included).
- Confirm the mat does not interfere with pedals.
- Press retention points fully so the mat cannot slide under braking.
